Weak areas

Hey gang, can you post replies to this with what you feel a class's biggest weakness is in post-champion life? Could be something as vague as self-healing, solo ability, downtime, lack of AOE, etc. To be clear, this isn't a suggest a new skill/spell thread or anything else. You can feel free to post...

Re: Mystic / Knight / Archmage / Avatar

The dam/sp gear is for hybrids like ruiners, paladins, etc. When spirit hands is cast you gain damage from sp, without it it is damroll. That's the function of the spell. The lack of ac on sp gear is already addressed by having sp improve their armor-lowering spells. Try to champion one a bit and gi...

Re: Ranger thoughts

It might take me a few weeks to respond to everything here, so I'm going to tackle the easy ones first. The bug causing "rangers" to demolish was actually being caused by boots that were giving the enemy sanc instead of the wearer. This was fixed quite a while ago. But this is an old post ...

Re: Champ lvl costs

It's really not good the way it is now, it is too heavily tilted at specific points. This (or something along these lines) would make some of those points easier and less frustrating, and hopefully only become depressingly obstructing at a point where they should begin to soft cap anyway.

Re: Champ lvl costs

Well, gaining champ lvls is meant to plateau at some point. There should be a point where gaining one isn't easy. Doing a linear increase like we had contributes to this problem. I don't think we should ever see a level 1000 champ. Just like how metaing hps/mana/etc used to get to the point where it...

Re: Champ lvl costs

Well, as I mentioned that's about the cost of just the metas you'd get from that level in the old system.

Re: Champ lvl costs

The goal isn't to have it be equal, but to add exponential growth into the platinum required, while balancing the plat vs xp in the early lvls, and the xp vs plat in the mid lvls, while still having it not be totally unfair.

Champ lvl costs

I'm almost afraid to post this here, but I figure it would be good to get some early feedback. These are some CONSIDERED adjustments in champ levels. It should have the affect of being cheaper in plat in the early levels, while being much cheaper in xp in the late ones. When looking at the costs, th...

Re: Paladin Ideas v2

I think smite damage is exactly where it should be, it doesn't do excessive amounts of damage but has its own synergies and benefits. Specifically, in dealing holy damage it benefits from the aforementioned bonus from gavel of justice and counts as non-physical damage. It also should never miss, and...
